The most asked question we have from our customers at Boska & Co. Let us start by explaining the difference between the two...
Wax Melts come in different shapes, colours and sizes and essentially they are moulded pieces of wax mixed with scented oils. Once placed in a burner, like our customer favourite - 'The Marrakesh', you simply light a small tea light and as the wax melts, it releases the scent of the oil into the air. Each wax melt can be re-used usually around three times, and then replaced with a new one. Wax melts may be small, but they can fill a whole house with your favourite scent in a short amount of time. The great thing is you can change the scent regularly, and even have a few different ones burning at the same time. Now moving onto Candles...everyone knows and loves a good candle! Without stating the obvious, It is a jar or a container filled with wax, scented oils and a centralised wick. While the wick burns, it melts the surrounding wax creating a hot scent. Candles are the longer lasting of the two products, with ours at Boska & Co burning around 40-45 hours. Compared to wax melts, they tend to need to burn for longer, in order to get the strongest scent. Here at Boska & Co, we believe that both candles AND wax melts have a place in every home. Candles can set the mood, and our wax burners look great on display, even when not lit! So to answer the question 'Which is better?'
The answer is neither. Both work in different ways with the same end goal, to make your home smell incredible with your favourite scents! 🙂
